From time to time you may need to install or re-install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile device. If installing for the first time, please go to the steps below to begin the installation and start using your MS Authenticator. If you are re-installing the app, the easiest method is to back up your authenticator on your old device if still available, and import from backup after re-installing the application or updating your phone. If you can not backup your authenticator your next option is to re-install from scratch. Below are instructions for installing your authenticator on a new device.
- Open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for Microsoft Authenticator
- Install it
- For Eventide Inc users, go to https://www.office.com You may need to log out if you are already logged in. If not prompted for credentials initially, log out then log back in again.
- Log in using your username and password
- You will be notified your company needs additional information for your account and prompted to set up an authenticator.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for setting up MS Authenticator
- If you run into any issues during the setup process, please contact Helpdesk, we may need to reset your multifactor authentication settings. Once that has been done go back to step 4
